Who We Are

Sergey Tumanov is the founder of OmiFlux, a consulting company specializing in the application of multi-omics technologies to advance biological discovery and translational research. With over 15 years of academic and industry experience, Sergey has built a career at the intersection of biochemistry, metabolomics, mass spectrometry, and systems biology, with a particular focus on cardiovascular and cancer metabolism.

Prior to founding OmiFlux, Sergey led the Fluxomics Centre at the Heart Research Institute in Sydney, where he supported numerous collaborative projects by applying cutting-edge analytical platforms including stable isotope tracing, metabolomics, lipidomics, and fluxomics. He has a strong track record of enabling data-driven insights through experimental design, analytical support, and integration of complex omics datasets.

Sergey holds a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Biology and has held postdoctoral and research leadership roles in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. His current mission is to help researchers and organisations unlock the full potential of multi-omics approaches to solve complex biological problems.
